Oh, the Wind and Rain
Oh, the Wind and Rain is a suite of ten wood engravings by Isak Applin. The images were conceived during the early months of the pandemic, when the artist’s Queens home and studio were surrounded by the wail of ambulances heading to Elmhurst Hospital. The prints record the trauma of the moment and recollect a world that suddenly vanished.
Oh, the Wind and Rain is the first Titan and Weald book printed on the iron hand press. The suite will be bound in book and portfolio form, with several sets of loose prints available.
11/17/22 update: The portfolios and loose prints have been printed. The book version is on the press and should be heading to the binder at the end of the year. Higher quality photos of the binding are coming soon.
